Epic 8 Hour Registration

The Course
Averaging 10 km per lap, Mansfield's Epic 8 course is loaded with fast singletrack, interspersed doubletrack for passing and the odd climb to separate the pack. Fast riders can expect to come in at under 30 minutes, while the average rider should expect lap times of about 40 minutes. The course is enjoyable for all including first-time racers.
Epic 8 Hour Kids’ Series
The Epic Kids' Ride is designed to provide the little ones with a special event just for them, and include them in a fun day for the whole family. This is a fun oriented, non-competitive event, where the kids are challenged to ride as many laps as possible within the 15 minute time limit. There are categories for ages 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, and 12 and under with a t-shirt for those pre-registered. Pre-register for the Epic Kids Race Here.
Mansfield Breakfast - morning of the race
Pancakes, sausages, coffee or tea will be available at Mansfield at the morning of the event for an additional charge.
Accommodations at Mansfield
Many of you will know the value in staying over on either the Friday or Saturday night, and for those who want a little luxury there are 12 sleeping cabins available. You can also camp for $5 per person no reservation required. Email info@chicoracing.com for more information on the cabin rentals which are $60 per night plus HST and must be pre-booked.

Event Schedule
Friday, May 25
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm - Pre-riding
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.......Early Event Kit Pick Up and Registration (highly recommended to avoid the rush).
Saturday, May 26
7:00 am – 9:30 am - Event Kit Pick Up and Registration
9:30 am - Team Captain’s Meeting
10:00 am - 6:00 pm - Epic 8 Relay
2:00 pm - Epic Kids’ Race (12 & under)
6:30 pm - Last Rider Must Be In, Awards
What’s included in your entry?
- Each team member gets a race t-shirt and souvenir race plate (t-shirt for first 700 riders only).
- Park entry fee for all participants on the day of the event.
- Medals for the top three teams in each category.
- One day licences now included at no extra cost!
- Lap by lap results with Chico chip timing.
- Everyone is eligible for draw prizes including an Opus Bike!
Epic 8 Requirements
- Bicycle in good working order.
- Certified bike helmet.
- One day licences no longer required. We have covered the extra fee.
Rules and further details will be emailed off to the team captain the week prior the event.
Every participant must complete a waiver on site.
