The Course
With several trail improvements being completed in the fall of 2011 by Chico Racing, runners will enjoy more flowing singletrack, and several exciting trail features - such as massive bermed corners, and rock gardens suitable to all runner abilites.
Which event is best for me?
For newer runners, or those who can’t train more than once or twice a week, it would be best to start in the 6 km Sport event. Fast runners can expect to complete the 6 km in less than 30 minutes, while less experienced runners may take up to an hour. The 12 km Enduro is for more seasoned off-road runners, and those with ample time to train longer distances. If you are in doubt, try the shorter Sport event and upgrade at the next one.
Preparing the Trail – For every participant a new tree!
Chico Racing has teamed up with Preparing the Trail and for every participant in every event a tree will be planted on their behalf. Improve your fitness, while putting something positive back into the earth and creating forests for future generations.
What can you expect from our events:
TREAD Trail Run Saturday Event Schedule
8:00 am – Registration/Packet Pick-up/Course Inspection
9:30 am – Start of the Kids’ 1km Fun Run (free, no advanced registration, complete a waiver on site)
9:45 am – Pre-Race Briefing
10:00 am – Enduro 12 km Course Start (2 laps of 6 km course)
10:15 am – Sport 6 km Course Start
10:30 am – Post race food/beverages available at finish
11:30 am – Awards Ceremony
